Resetting Bacula (SQLite3, Debian)

Login or su to root.

Stop the running Bacula processes.

/etc/init.d/bacula-dir stop

/etc/init.d/bacula-sd stop

/etc/init.d/bacula-fd stop

Change to the Bacula install directory, and delete the contents (the database is here, amongst other things).

cd /var/lib/bacula

rm *

Change to the Bacula backup storage directory, and clear it out.

cd /var/bacula-data/backup

rm *

Run the package reconfiguration tool which will re-create an empty SQLite3 database.

dpkg-reconfigure bacula-director-sqlite3


Restart the Bacula processes.

/etc/init.d/bacula-fd start

/etc/init.d/bacula-sd start

/etc/init.d/bacula-dir start
